Is the whole house just for us?
Yes. Casa Espalamaca is a single private house. Terrace, spa, garden and all rooms are yours alone during your stay.
Do we need a car?
Horta centre is 4 minutes by car or a 23 minute walk downhill, so a short stay without a car is possible. To explore the Caldeira, Capelinhos or Varadouro a rental car is recommended.
How do we get there from the airport?
Horta airport is about 18 minutes by car.
Is breakfast included?
Yes. A breakfast basket with fresh bread, pastries and fruit is delivered to the house every morning.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 16:00, check-out until 11:00. Flexible times when the calendar allows.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival, and no prepayment is needed to confirm your booking. 30 days before arrival you receive a secure link to pay in full; from then on the booking is non-refundable. Full details in our General Policies.
Can we bring children?
Children from 5 years old are very welcome and pay the adult rate. The house is not suitable for children under 5.
